ARTS Obispo has also been known as the San Luis Obispo Arts Council. It promotes all the arts in San Luis Obispo County. The Open Studios Tour is one of the main events it sponsors annually (during the month of October) for visual artists.
The San Luis Obispo Museum of Art is a focal point for the visual arts in San Luis Obispo County. It features juried and curated exhibits. Members for thirty years, Rosey and Barbara have served on the Board of Directors and other volunteer positions.
This group has been active on the Central Coast for over 25 years. It holds monthly meetings, organizes workshops and presents shows. The group has also completed several commercial projects, including a perpetual calendar, illustrated cookbooks, and playing cards. It is affiliated with the San Luis Obispo Art Center.
